Theology III - Windsor-Lake St. Clair Catholic Family of Parishes
What did you do prior to entering the seminary?
I was working as a Chemistry Analyst in Sarnia
What influenced your decision to apply for seminary entrance?
There were a lot of signs and great people along the way but in 5 years, I went from being afraid of the thought of priesthood to being at peace with it and joy-filled at the thought. That’s when I thought I might be ready to apply because I didn’t want to leave a rock unturned and wonder about it later.
Why do you want to be a priest?
I wouldn’t say I want to be a priest. I would say that I’m here to find out if that’s the Lord’s will for me. My will is to find out His will for me. If it’s priesthood then I would be more than honoured to join other priests who dedicate their lives to their communities.
What are your favourite pastimes?
Singing terribly in the car to 90s music, playing/watching soccer, The Office, being out in nature.
What is your favourite quote?
“I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stitious..” -Michael Scott
Who is your favourite Saint and why?
St. Therese of Lisieux because I’m a big fan of her “Little Way” and it’s something I strive for. To be able to have that powerful of a love and trust.
What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?
Get yourself a spiritual director. They’ll lead you on the right path and help prep you if you so decide to apply to the seminary. Eventually, you do have to take that plunge though. If you find out you’re meant to be a priest, great. If not, then you can close that door. It’s a win-win situation. It’s an itch that got scratched and you won’t be wondering “What if…”
